Radiofrequency Microneedling
Radiofrequency microneedling combines the collagen-stimulating effect of microneedling with the deep tissue remodelling effect of radiofrequency energy. The needles penetrate to a set depth and deliver RF energy directly into the dermis, triggering controlled thermal injury that the body repairs by producing new collagen and elastin. More effective than standard microneedling alone and with a better evidence base than many energy-based treatments.
Morpheus8 London
Morpheus8 is InMode's flagship radiofrequency microneedling device — 24 coated needles penetrating to 4mm, delivering bipolar RF energy into the deep dermis and subdermal fat. The result is measurable tightening, contouring, and texture improvement over 3–6 months. Effective for skin laxity, acne scarring, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and general skin quality. Morpheus8 Burst London
An updated protocol from InMode that delivers RF energy in a burst pattern across a wider treatment area per pass, reducing total treatment time. Clinical outcomes are comparable to standard Morpheus8 for most skin concerns. Learn more →
Morpheus8 Burst Deep London
The deepest available Morpheus8 protocol — needles penetrating to 8mm with burst RF delivery. Targets the superficial fat layer and SMAS, producing significant structural remodelling. Best suited to more advanced skin laxity or patients who want maximum depth of treatment. Learn more →
RF Microneedling London

Laser Treatments
Our laser treatments use precise wavelengths of light energy to target specific chromophores in the skin. Different lasers target different concerns — ablative CO2 lasers resurface the skin surface; non-ablative Lumecca IPL targets pigmentation and vessels without damaging the surface. The choice of laser depends on the concern, your Fitzpatrick skin type, and your downtime tolerance.
CO2 Laser Resurfacing London
Ablative CO2 laser removes the outer layers of skin, triggering controlled healing and new collagen formation. One of the most effective treatments for acne scarring, fine lines, sun damage, and uneven texture. Requires significant downtime (7–14 days) but delivers a noticeable improvement in a single or two-session course. Learn more →
Lumenis UltraPulse CO2 Laser London
The UltraPulse is widely regarded as the gold standard CO2 laser — its ultra-short pulse duration delivers energy fast enough to ablate tissue with minimal heat transfer to surrounding areas, producing better results with less collateral damage than older CO2 systems. We use the Lumenis UltraPulse at Volt Cartel. Learn more →
Lumecca IPL London
Lumecca is InMode's high-intensity IPL device, delivering approximately 3× the energy output of standard IPL systems. It targets oxyhaemoglobin (redness, vessels, rosacea) and melanin (pigmentation, sun damage, freckles). Most patients see a noticeable improvement after 1–2 sessions. Learn more →

Radiofrequency (Non-Needling)
Forma RF London
Forma uses InMode's radiofrequency technology in a non-invasive, non-needling format — a handpiece glides across the skin delivering controlled RF heat into the dermis. Effective for mild skin laxity, facial contouring, and maintaining results between more intensive treatments. minimal downtime. Learn more →

Pigmentation Treatment London
Pigmentation — including melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and freckles — requires careful treatment selection based on pigment type and Fitzpatrick skin type. This page covers the full range of pigmentation treatments we offer. Learn more →
Rosacea Treatment London
Rosacea causes persistent facial redness, visible vessels, and — in some cases — papules and pustules. Lumecca IPL targets the haemoglobin in dilated vessels directly, producing lasting reduction in redness and visible capillaries in most patients. Learn more →
Sun Damage Treatment London
Sun damage manifests as pigmentation, rough texture, fine lines, and loss of skin tone. We use Lumecca IPL for pigmentation and vascular components; CO2 laser and Morpheus8 for textural improvement. Treatment plan depends on the dominant presentation. Learn more →
Microneedling
Microneedling London
Mechanical microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the dermis, triggering the wound-healing response and collagen synthesis. Effective for superficial acne scarring, skin texture, and fine lines. Lower downtime than RF microneedling but less depth of penetration. Often used as a maintenance treatment between Morpheus8 sessions. Learn more →
Skin Quality and Regenerative Treatments
Profhilo London
Profhilo is a high-concentration hyaluronic acid injectable that spreads through the deep skin tissue, hydrating from within and working to support collagen and elastin production. Not a filler — it doesn't add volume. The result is improved skin quality, firmness, and hydration over 4–8 weeks. Two sessions one month apart is the standard protocol. Learn more →
Skin Boosters London
A category of injectable hydrators — including Restylane Skinboosters, Juvederm Volite, and Belotero Balance — that improve skin hydration, elasticity, and radiance from within. Distinct from Profhilo in their formulation and placement technique. Learn more →
PRP Treatment London
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is produced from a small draw of your own blood — centrifuged to concentrate the growth factors — and injected or applied to the skin to stimulate regeneration. Used for skin quality, hair loss, and in combination with microneedling or laser treatments. Learn more →

Why Choose Volt Cartel for Skin and Laser Treatments in London?
Our skin and laser treatments are assessed and overseen by our doctors — not technicians following a protocol. For treatments like CO2 laser and Morpheus8 that require clinical judgment on energy settings, depth, and pass count, this matters significantly.
Laser and IPL treatments carry risk on darker skin tones if energy settings aren't adjusted appropriately. We classify every laser patient's Fitzpatrick type at assessment and will turn away patients for whom a treatment is not appropriate for their skin type.
The UltraPulse is widely cited as the benchmark CO2 laser system. Its ultra-short pulse duration enables aggressive ablation with less thermal damage to surrounding tissue. We invested in this device specifically because it delivers better outcomes for complex skin resurfacing cases.
Most significant skin concerns benefit from combination approaches — Morpheus8 for structure, Lumecca for pigmentation, Profhilo for quality. We plan treatments as a course, not a single session, and sequence them appropriately so each treatment builds on the last.
Our clinic at 86–90 Paul Street is a short walk from Old Street and Liverpool Street — straightforward to reach at lunch, after work, or between meetings. Most appointments run 45–90 minutes.
Frequently Asked Questions — Skin & Laser Treatments
What is the best treatment for acne scarring?
It depends on scar type. Atrophic scars (ice pick, boxcar, rolling) respond well to CO2 laser resurfacing and RF microneedling (Morpheus8). Superficial textural scarring responds to microneedling or Lumecca IPL if pigmentation is involved. Most patients benefit from a combination course. We assess scar type at consultation and recommend accordingly.
What is the downtime for CO2 laser resurfacing?
Typically 7–14 days for full-face treatment. The skin will be red, raw, and peeling in the first week, then pink and sensitive for 2–4 weeks after. Redness may persist for 1–3 months as collagen remodelling continues. Most patients plan for at least one week's social downtime.
How many Morpheus8 sessions will I need?
Most patients have a course of 3 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart. Results continue to develop for up to 6 months after the final session as collagen remodelling completes. Patients with more significant laxity or scarring may benefit from additional sessions.
Is Lumecca IPL safe for all skin types?
Lumecca IPL is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV. For Fitzpatrick types V and VI (darker skin tones), IPL carries a risk of hyperpigmentation and is generally not recommended. We assess your skin type at consultation and will recommend alternative treatments if IPL is not appropriate for you.
Can I combine multiple skin treatments in one course?
Yes — combination courses are often more effective than single-modality treatment. Common combinations include Morpheus8 plus Lumecca (structure and pigmentation together), Profhilo plus Morpheus8 (skin quality and tightening), and CO2 laser followed by PRP to support healing and enhance results.
What is the difference between Profhilo and skin boosters?
Profhilo uses an unusually high concentration of uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid that spreads through tissue via NAHYCO technology, hydrating and stimulating collagen from within. Skin boosters (Restylane Skinboosters, Juvederm Volite) are crosslinked HA formulations that stay more localised to the injection points. Which suits you better is something we assess at consultation.
